Patrick A. Gorman, Esquire
Patrick A. Gorman, Esquire is founder and Managing Director of Cannabis Government Strategies, the top DC-based, boutique lobbying-firm focused exclusively on shaping Federal and State politics and policy for the benefit of the cannabis, hemp, and CBD industries. An entrepreneur, political strategist, business attorney, and regulatory specialist with three decades of experience, Patrick’s knowledge, relationships, and understanding of the law and legislative process have generated success in the public-, private-, and non-profits sectors. Going back more than a decade, he has advised elected officials on cannabis policy and provided strategy on state-based, cannabis ballot initiatives. Along the way, Mr. Gorman has connected entrepreneurs to financing, linked start-ups with industry leaders, and navigated rules, procedures, and the hallways of Congress to change policies that impact client goals.
Born and raised in Washington, DC, he received a BA in Political Science, with a minor in Latin American Studies, from Colorado College and a JD, with a Certificate in Comparative and International Law, from Catholic University’s Columbus School of Law.
